[toggle title=”Do your truck storage drawers offer a universal fit?“]
Yes and no. We have tried to make our storage units to be more universal so everyone will be able to find something that fits their truck, but you will need to measure and make sure to account for any existing protrusions in your truck bed. They are not made to be a custom fit for specific makes and models of trucks. This means that there will be gaps around the storage unit and there is not a solid surface covering the entire truck bed.
For Trucks, we offer Full or Mid-size models, in 5 or 6ft lengths:
- MS Waterfowl Series – 48″ Wide and available in 5 or 6ft lengths
- HDP Full Size Truck – 47″ Wide and available in 5 or 6ft lengths
- HDP Mid-Size Truck – 42″ Wide and available in 5 or 6ft lengths
- HDP Wheel Well Box – 12.5″ Wide and 59.5″ Long

No. We offer 3 standard sizes that are most likely to fit the small, mid and large size SUV’s. You will need to take careful measurements to ensure you order the correct size for a proper fit.
- Small = 37″ W x 11″ H x 25″ L
- Mid = 38″ W x 12″ H x 30″ L
- Large= 46.5″W x 12″H x 34″L

The MS5 and MS6 Waterfowl Editions are considered to be our heaviest duty models. Made with an aluminum alloy framework, extremely durable composite outer shell and drawer fronts and 100% recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drawers, this is one tough unit.

All of our storage drawers come with keyed locks. Locks engage behind the aluminum frame for greater security, and storage units with two locks are keyed alike for added convenience.
For the highest level of security, you may add an optional 5-push button combination lock with knob release.

[toggle title=”What kind of drawer slides or glides do your boxes use?“]
The HDP truck box uses bearing rails.
The SUV box and the wheel well box use ball bearings glides.
The MS Waterfowl series uses a smooth glide UHMW tape system.

MS Waterfowl Truck Models
[toggle title=”What is the difference between the MS Waterfowl and HDP models?“]
MS5/6 Waterfowl Series
Well, for starters, about 50-70 lbs. The 5ft. HPD units weigh around 180 lbs. and the 6ft. Waterfowl unit weighs around 250 lbs.
The Waterfowl Models are the first models we made. They are constructed with:
- aluminum alloy framework
- extremely durable composite outer shell and drawer fronts
- high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drawers
Our goal was to build an ultra tough and durable truck storage box and that’s exactly what we accomplished! However, we noticed that the majority of our customers didn’t need the extreme duty version and wanted a less intense, slightly lighter and more economical solution.
HDP Series
Our HDP Models are made from 100% recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), while it is still a very strong material with added moisture-resistance, it is lighter.

HDP Truck Models (Full & Mid-size)

The only difference is 5″ – the full size model is 47″ wide and the mid-size is 42″ wide. They are both offered in the same lengths of 57″ or 68″.[/toggle]

The top of the unit can handle 1,000 lbs., evenly distributed, or 50 lbs. per square foot.[/toggle]
[toggle title=”How much weight will each drawer hold?“]
Each drawer can hold about 250 lbs.[/toggle]
[toggle title=”How far do the drawers open?“]
The drawers open about 43.5″.[/toggle]
[toggle title=”Are the HDP truck boxes water proof?“]
No, they are not waterproof, but they are water and weather resistant. The unit is not sealed, but the top and side panels are all one piece which makes it very difficult for water to get into the drawers. For the best product performance, we do recommend the use of a truck topper to protect the unit from the elements.[/toggle]

We do make a full and mid-size 6ft model, but we do not make an 8 ft model.

Yes – we do. The Wheel Well Model measures 12.5″ W x 59.5″ L x 19″H.

[toggle title=”How do I know which SUV model will fit my vehicle?“]
You will need to take careful measurements of the cargo space in your vehicle and choose one of our 3 standard sizes. Be sure to measure the narrowest point, checking the rear door frame and include any protrusions all the way to the back seat uprights or other pre-determined end point in your cargo area.

Yes – it’s the best of both worlds! Get a drawer system with an attached slide on top.

Yes, the system comes with the slide pre-attached to the storage drawer.

Installation
[toggle title=”How are the MS Series and the Full or Mid-size HDP Truck Boxes secured to the truck bed?“]
There are 4 D-Ring Tie Downs located on the sides of the unit for your use in securing the unit to the factory installed cargo tie down loops in your truck. We do not provide the mechanism used to secure it.
Recommended mechanisms could include: Wire Tie Strap, Ratchet Strap, Tie Down Straps, Cam Buckle Tie Down
Turnbuckles can be used (they can cause problems if they are too tight), but improper use of these and other tie downs can void the warranty.
Caution: If over-tightened, D-rings can be separated from the box.

[toggle title=”How are the Full Width Box & Slide Systems secured to the truck bed?“]
A no drill bracket secures the box and bed system using the factory installed, rear truck bed tie downs. It is not necessary to drill into the bed of the truck with this method.

The unit is secured with aluminum brackets that can be attached with either screws or a very strong adhesive tape.

The wheel well unit is secured with aluminum brackets that can be attached with either screws or a very strong adhesive tape.
The slide system is secured by mounting the track system to the bed of the truck, you will need to drill 2 mounting holes.

We do recommend that you secure your SUV cargo drawers. Most SUV’s do have something you can secure the drawer with in the cargo area; some have d-rings, hooks or a bar. You can use the securing method of your choice, such as a wire tire strap as shown in this photo.

Due to the size of MobileStrong Storage Drawers & Systems, we are not able to ship via UPS or FedEx. These orders will ship via LTL (less than truck load) freight carriers to the 48 contiguous states and are packaged on a pallet or skid.

Shipping prices are based on weight and the distance from our location in northwestern WI. The shipping costs for our storage units are listed on product pages and will be added to the cost of your product.
There will be additional costs for delivery to a residential address and also for the use of a lift gate if there is no loading dock at the delivery location.
We do offer Free Shipping on accessories to the 48 contiguous states.
