MobileStrong now offers an HDP line as an alternative to our awesome heavy duty MS Series solutions. You asked for an alternative and that is exactly what we came up with. The HDP version for Trucks features a lower price point and is constructed of a lighter, Eco-friendly HDPE material that is known for it’s high strength to density ratio. It is extremely durable (How durable is it? It’s so durable, HDPE is used in hockey rinks and hard hats!) it is also resistant to chemicals, corrosion and cracks.
What does our HDP Truck Box NOT DO?

2 HDP Truck Models to Choose From: Full Size and Mid-Size.
The Full-Size HDP Model
Measures 47″W x 10″H x 57″D and is designed to fit in a full size truck bed that is at least 5 ft. in length. This unit weighs approximately 183 lbs., lighter than it’s similar counterpart (MS500) in the MS Series. The interior drawer dimensions are 21″w x 6″H x 54″L.
The Mid-Size HDP Model
Measures 42″W x 10″H x 57″D and is designed for a smaller truck bed that is at least 42″ wide and 5 ft. in length.
Some Mid-Size models may include: Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline, GMC Canyon
Features:
Non-Friction Glide System:
We wanted to steer clear of using ball bearings and have created a non-friction glide system that works even better. MobileStrong HDP drawer systems feature aluminum glides on the side of each drawer and also on the bottom that run on a strip of UHMW. Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals; has low moisture absorption and very low friction. It is self-lubricating and highly resistant to abrasion.
Weather Resistant:
With the top and side panels being one piece, this seamless construction and the fact that the HDPE material is resistant to moisture, aids in making this unit water and weather resistant. It is not technically waterproof, but it it would take some effort for water to get into the drawers.
Strength:
The top load capacity is roughly 1,000 lbs. evenly distributed (or 50 lbs. per square foot). Each drawer opens to 42″ and will hold approximately 150 lbs.
Security:
We always recommend that these storage units be secured to the truck bed. There are 4 D-rings provided that make it easy to secure the unit with straps or turn buckles.
Each drawer is equipped with keyed locks to protect your valuables, whether it be hunting gear or construction equipment or tools. Push button combination locks are available as an optional add on for quick access to locked drawers.
